Season 3 of Dub Issues we are opening with, our well-known guests, Dubbing Sun with their powerful DIY Soundsystem, along with BAODUB, a spanish-based dub producer and a DJ who will have his Linz premiere. These amazing musicians are bringing fresh tunes of their own production.

DUBBING SUN SOUNDSYSTEM

The alpine blazing stars already lit the space with their steppas vibe at our premiere in December 2017, at Dub Issues #3 2018 and this time they're gonna bring again the DUBBING SUN SOUNDSYSTEM to KAPU !

Delivering you tuffest dubplates and heavyweight dub specials, the sound of Dubbing Sun is based on dub and steppas with some adds of future sounds. In the last few years, they had releases on labels like Moonshine Recordings, Lion Charge, Green King Cuts, Whodem Sound, Dubatriation, Pressed Records, Dub Descendants, Archetype, as well as on their own label, Dubbing Sun Records. Consisting of the producers (Selecta) Dubvid, Gertze, Pupa Strav (Producer/MC) and Kol.EE aka King D (Singer/MC/Producer). They had collaborations with the likes of Bukkha, Blue Hill, Digid, Full Dub, Lutan Fyah, Clinton Sly, Bunnington Judah and Addis Pablo. Prepare for some serious stepper vibes!

KOL.EE aka KING D, member of Rebel Elementz, SuedMassiv & Breaking Bud Production is a versatile reggae/dub-based Singjay/MC/Producer who also regularly spit fyah @ Dubbing Sun Sessions. From strong raggamuffin chants unto sweet rub-a-dub vibez and all in-between... get ready fi di melodical EnErgy !!!

BAODUB

Moonshine Recordings/ Kapra Dubplates/ Baodub Music

Baodub originally from Poznan, Poland, is a Spain-based producer and DJ. At the age of 16, he discovered an underground electronic music movement and started playing drum and bass and jungle in free parties. Two years later, he started producing his own tunes, slowing down the beats and making some downtempo psychedelic music. Then he focused on dub music, influenced by Sound System culture, but always trying to get some psychedelic feeling, having his first tune, "Subhit", released in 2014 by Pistolero Recordings. Baodub’s first releases on vinyl came in 2016, with Moonshine Recordings.

After starting collaborating with Dennis Capra, a series of two vinyl releases on Kapra Dubplates saw the light, “Himba Tribe” and “Asaro Tribe”.

Now he is focused in his own label, Baodub Music, which first 12” release, “Know Themselves” with Danman at the vocals, and JahWind at the horns version, was played by the mighty Channel One Sound and King Shiloh Sound System.
