Worldwide acclaimed as one of the best rock’n’roll emerging band around, New Candys will finally return to KAPU!
Hailing from Venice (Italy) with three records released through Fuzz Club, they toured Europe extensively including Liverpool Psych Fest 2016, Fuzz Club Eindhoven 2018 and Levitation France 2019, and more recently Australia (headlining both Sydney and Melbourne Psych Fest and performing at the Adelaide Fringe), and North America twice with shows in Mexico, Canada and United States, performing at the legendary Pappy & Harriet's in Joshua Tree and Mercury Lounge in New York among others, recording a KEXP live session too. Some of their songs are featured on episodes of Showtime Networks original TV series "Shameless". They shared the stage with The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Dandy Warhols, The Warlocks, Slowdive etc.
TENTACULA
Release the... eeehmm... Kraken? Or are we talking about another gigantic cosmic creature both divine and demonic whose arrival means the end of the world as we know it?
Well, maybe.
It might also be seen as a symbol that shows the awe and admiration for both the only flying mermal and possibly the smartest creature living in the oceans. In any case also as a hommage to H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu and Sir Christopher Lee’s impersonation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Long story short... whatever you may interpret into Tentacula...
The name is their program!
And this mystical neologism keeps its promise:
dark, reverb-drenched melodies and haunting riffs create a refreshing blend, somewhere between dreamy psychedelic- and dirty garage-rock. Spiced up with a very distinct female voice that might come from the queen of darkness herself who summons the gods of Liquid Thunder together with her fellow cultists.
While the Necronomicon does not have an entry about Tentacula yet, they chose to write their own history. Tentaculove, the band’s first record came out on StoneFree Records on August 16th, 2019 - and the vinyl will be released on October 31st in Vienna and on November 23rd at KAPU PSYCH FEST.
In their first year since their live debut in 2018 they managed to play with some of the finest bands in today’s Psychedelic Rock scene: Ouzo Bazooka, (ISR), Slift (FRA), Black Salvation (GER), Colour Haze (GER), OM (USA), Tides From Nebula (POL), Naxatras (GRE), Windhand (USA), Hällas (SWE),... to name a few and also played five festival-shows in summer 2019.

FVZZ POPVLI
Raised in Rome by Pootchie and Datio in A.D. MMXVI, with the conception of powertrio a direct and rough way to bring heavy fuzzy riffs. Their sound melts Black Sabbath style heavy riffs with the attitude of the roughest garagepunk bands like The Stooges, adding the psychedelia from the 70's gettin' their own style! The band released and promoted an "EP" in May 2017 with a tour in Italy, Switzerland and Germany. In June 2017 they were signed to the Heavy Psych Sounds Records roster (Brant Bjork, Nick Olivieri, Fatso Jetson, Yawning Man, Nebula, Giöbia, Duel, Black Rianbows.) to promote their first album "FVZZ DEI" out in September 2017, the album has brought the band on more than 70 european stages in 8 countries gettin' the chance to play in the mysterious DUNA JAM. In June 2018 the band recorded their 2nd album "MAGNA FVZZ", which was released the 05.10.2018 and since that date they toured restlessly! With some delay due to scheduling difficulties we're happy to finally have them in Linz!
